Nie Drehmann is a wildlife and landscape photographer. Drehmann's love of nature, her life outdoors were heavily influenced by Dr. Jane Goodall and Dian Fossey to inspire Nie to adventure further into the world of conservation and documenting "their" stories.
Both researchers had made a profound everlasting impression on her, to understand how important the wildlife plays a part in the environment.
Nie’s driving force has always been exploring the Midwest with passion while seeking out the wildlife in its unapologetic beauty in their habitat. It wasn’t photography that drew her into wildlife, but the other way around. The passion helped build the foundation of her view in wildlife photography and encapsulate the raw beauty of what she tries to convey in her images. There’s not a substitute in experiencing wildlife without submerging yourself into their world.
Being surrounded by nature amongst their habitat, it‘s taught her how important patience is while waiting for the right moment. The satisfying experience of photographing the wildlife and nature is indescribable. Photography allows Nie to record that moment and allows to share this with all of you.
